What we need is money to do that, and for NASA to stop funding denials that comets hit. But that's pretty much besides the point, as Comet Schwassmann Wachmann 3's debris stream will be here by 2022. Even if its just magic comet dust by then, that will likely have catastrophic climate consequences. It would be nice for someone to ask Obama and Bolen and others at NASA about this directly.
