A beautiful picture from today's TELEGRAPH (London, online): http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02019/jup_2019043c.jpg Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity (The Planets, orchestral suite by English composer Gustav Holst Op. 32, ~1915).

Hmmm.... Two impacts in this year. With us only able to see 180° of Jupiter, it makes one wonder how many have hit the side we can't see. And not just this side. Someone viewing from the opposite side of Jupiter, for example, would not have seen this one.
Hello for all Jupiter is not the only one, see the fresh air blasts, scars and craters on Mars. http://www.msss.com/mars_images/moc/2006/12/06/craters/index.html See also the Palaeoloagoons outreach and teaching activities (2011) https://sites.google.com/site/redemarcgravedeastronomia/home/2010/2011/oficina-estudo-da-origem-das-paleolagoas-pernambucanas regards pierson
