It is my hypothesis that The Carolina Bays ARE craters, but not as old as determoned for several reasons. I believe the meteors came from the dust tail of Comet C/1811 F1. These meteors were comprised of only ice, sand, and dirt. This is the reason for lack of evidence. It is my opinion that, this land, being where it is located, would have been under much erosion, and probably would have been farmed and developed extensively within such a long time frame. They are still way too well defined. As all are aware, they are elliptical, all run in the same direction, and have sand around the rims. It is my belief that the soil and sand content that was tested may have been from the comet.
